google are inviting beta testers for corporate gmail.My opinion is that over poor wireless or dialup gmail is too slow anyway. I’d need to know where the hosting is done, have an idea about the management of email backup and storage and so before I’d recommend this to anyone.
San José City College (SJCC) are their first big-name; It’s the first time they will be offering student email accounts. Google are hosting Gmail accounts with all the usual gmail goodies, but with SJCC domain addresses (like [email protected]), plus admin tools for efficient account management. more comments at the google blog. Lots of talk about it being an outlook killer.
EDIT:Scoble and others are bitching because MSN have been doing it for ages. It’s faintly ridiculous. The tone of their posts seem to be a lot of “why’s everybody hate us ?”
